We read the book today, Daisy-Head Mayzie. It is an ADORABLE book about a human schoolgirl named Mayzie who one day suddenly
sprouts a bright yellow daisy from her head. It causes alarm in her
classroom, family, and town, until an agent makes her a celebrity. The Cat in the Hat
is seen serving as the narrator to this story who helps Mayzie to
understand her problem and persuade her to go back home. The book has a
mini-song titled "Daisy-Head Mayzie" which her classmates chant.
The book was a gift from the Gorton Family (THANKS GUYS)! We all had a transformation into a Daisy-Head!

A BIG THANK YOU!
Thank you so much to Grandma Jo and Aunt Turkey! We got an AMAZING care package from one of our Class Grandmother's and Class Aunt's. They spent so much time and money to make these AMAZING head bands for all our our students to wear for our Dr. Seuss Author Study. They also purchased some of the Dr. Seuss books that we did not currently have in our library. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Backwards Day in Room 41
Today was Backwards Day in Room 41! Class participation for this Spirit Day was AWESOME! Most of the students came with their shirts, pants, ponytails and belts on backwards. Our pictures today showed the students in a Seusslike picture of them going UP the slide BACKWARDS!
See if you can pick out which one is your child:)

Thing 1 or Thing 2 or Thing 37
We have worked on making our THINGS throughout the week. We have to say they are absolutely ADORABLE! We will not be sending them home till next week, because we want to display them in our room. They used their hand prints to make the THINGS!
