Hat Day!

We are so excited that so many students participated in Hat Day last week!  We have a few pictures of them in their HATS!  Please be sure to check the Class Calendar, Conduct Sheet as well as Upcoming Dates right here on the BLOG to see what Spirit Day is coming up next. This Friday we will be wearing BLUE and/or GREEN to show our LOVE for the EARTH!

This is the first Power Point we introduced in our class.  We hope that you will review these with your child.  Make an activity of it and have your child come up with more words that are not found on the Presentation.  If you find more words please share them with us in a comment on the bottom of this post. We would LOVE to be able to share them with the class as you post them!!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

We just found out we will be having a District Visit on Friday.  Because of these visitors we are choosing not to do our Spirit Day this Friday. Because we did not want to just cancel the Spirit Day (HAT DAY is super F-U-N!!), we have rescheduled for this Thursday.  Please allow your child to bring a hat to school, but have them keep it in their backpacks until they enter the classroom.  If they wear them down the hall in the morning an adult may take it away.  Thank you so much for you cooperation with this!  

CL Blends Presentation

Be sure to review the slide show with your child.  We had a great time going over the questions as a class.  We are going to be adding the Presentations as we go over them in class.  This is a GREAT way to review with your child and prepare them for upcoming assessments.

Report Writing!

We are working on writing a report about Zoo Animals.  We have already posted pictures on the Elephant Page from our report.  We were so excited to learn about the animals we will see when we go to the Zoo on April 26th.  Here are your kiddos working hard during Writer's Workshop!

Due to sever thunderstorm warnings in the forecast for Thursday April 4th, our Zoo field trip has been RESCHEDULED for FRIDAY APRIL 26th.  Please mark your calendars.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but safety is our number one priority!
