Fl Blends

We have now added fl Blends to our Presentations.  Please be sure to review the Power Point with your child and discuss other words that are not on the Presentation.  If you do think of one please add it in a comment at the bottom of the post.

FCAT Buddies are All Stars

We sent down Water Bottles for our FCAT buddies today.  We wanted them to know we think they are All Stars and will do GREAT on their test tomorrow.  We took pictures for our Buddies as well (because that's what we do) and sent it to them on a DVD with the song All Star from the movie Shrek.  The kids had a great time dancing to the tune and we know that our Buddies are going to LOVE it.  We just hope that it motivates them to do well and ROCK that test!

The Grouchy Ladybug

Today we listened to the story The Grouchy Ladybug.  We were able to watch the story on YouTube, and hear the different voices of the characters.  The moral of this story is to be nice and share things.  If the Grouchy Ladybug was nice and shared the aphids at the beginning of the story he would not have had all the trouble he did going through the story.  We also know that Eric Carle likes to teach math in his books, in this one he taught us about time and how it passes.  Be sure to check out the story and discuss it with your child.
