This week we are working on an Author Study of Eric Carle. We kicked off the study by reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We were able to talk about all the different types of food that the Caterpillar ate throughout the book. We discussed how most of Eric Carle's books teach us a lesson, or have a moral. Eric Carle also likes to integrate MATH into his literature. We have included a video about The Very Hungry Caterpillar so that you may see how Eric Carle makes his illustrations for his books.
