Happy Birthday Mr. President!

We finished up our President's Day Project today.  Mr. Abraham Lincoln and Mr. George Washington will be coming home with your students today.  We finished up talking about why we Celebrate President's Day, and we even talked about what we would do if/when we are President of the United States of America.  Look at their pictures that they are bringing home to see how they see themselves as President.  They also had to think about what they would do as President to make our Country a better place to live.  In Reader's Workshop we were able to Read a book about George Washington, George Washington and the General's Dog. We made a George Washington that was similar to Abraham Lincoln yesterday.  Here's what they did:)
