Show and Tell!!

Today our Mooseltoe Projects were due and we were able to have the students share what they did.  We are so excited with what you and your children were able to create. Great Job!  This is our time to share how ADORABLE the Moose are. If you do get a chance we are hanging them in the hallway for EVERYONE to admire. And don't forget to read the writing on our bulletin board to see if you are PERSUADED (wink, wink) to do the same thing over break. 

Gobble! Gobble!

We discussed the Pilgrims in Class and explained to the students that they came over on the Mayflower. Then we made Pilgrim faces. We hope you all have a fun and safe Holiday Weekend!  We will see you all back at School on Tuesday 11/27/12.

Our Michael Jordan Experience

We have been reading Salt in His Shoes for our Book of the Month.  The kids have had a great time learning about Michael Jordan as a child as well as an All Star Basketball Player.  We have made predictions about what we thought Salt in His Shoes might be about.  Some of the ideas were that his Mom might pour salt in his socks and his shoes, he will pour salt out of his shoes and one person predicted that salt in his shoes would make him better at basketball.  We soon learned this was the story of Michael Jordan as a child. We were able to show the students a video of Michael Jordan all grown up, making a SLAM DUNK(thank you YouTube)!! The kids were super impressed!! We also were able to talk about what size shoes he has and took a picture of the kids in a shoe the size Michael would wear:)  We thought they were too cute and wanted to share them with you all!!

Team Spirit Day in Room 41!

As you all know we have a SPIRIT day every Friday...today was Sports Day!  We asked the class to wear a shirt to show a sport they liked. We had a pretty good turn out today.  Here are our pictures (you know how much we love a photo opp;)) that we took of your little Sports Stars!! Continue to check our Monthly Calendar, and their Weekly Conduct sheets to see what we will be doing next. We are taking the month of December OFF!!! However, we don't want to miss a chance for our students to have fun so.....on December 14th we will be having a Pajama Party where the students (and Ms. Finocchiaro & Mrs. Hope too) can come to school in there PJ's!!

Winner Winner Turkey Dinner!!

We were so excited to see so many parents and family members come to have Thanksgiving Lunch with their Kindergartners.  We were able to get pictures of our visitors enjoying their turkey dinners. We hope it was as YUMMY as it looked:)
