Bunnies Everywhere!

We had our Bunny visitors today in Room 41!  We just wanted you to know that we are ready for SPRING!  We hope that you all enjoy your Spring Break and we will see you on April 2nd!

IMPORTANT ACCOUNCEMENTS!

We have had a lot of parents asking about an Egg Hunt.  Because of all of the activities we have participated in the past few weeks with our Author Study of Dr. Seuss, as well as our Report Card Reviews we have decided not to do an Egg Hunt this year.  We apologize for not sending home an announcement sooner...we have been extrememly busy trying to finish up Report Card Testing.

Also we are NOT sending home Homework over Spring Break!  We want everyone to have a relaxing 10 days off.  If you would like to work on Skills you can allow your child to work on Destination Success.  We will see everyone back on April 2nd.

Field Trip to the Zoo is Thursday, April 4th.  No School Friday, April 5th. 

Happy St. Pattie's Day

Friday we celebrated St. Patrick's Day in Room 41!  We wore GREEN and were able to have a few activities that centered around the holiday.  We read Looking for Leprechauns By Sheila Keenan. The kids loved that the boys (Devin and Kevin) liked getting into mischief and laughed throughout the book. Then at the end... they caught a leprechaun, made him laugh and they earned the leprechauns gold!!  For Math we were able to Graph with Lucky Charms.  The little Leprechauns were able to eat the cereal while they Graphed the Marshmallows.  It was MAGICALLY DELICIOUS!

Ms. Finocchiaro took pictures of the kids that are ADORABLE!! Be careful that you don't get PINCHED by a little Leprechaun today:)

   

Our Book Fair Students For Today!

 A few students brought in Book Fair money today.  We are able to send our students during the OPEN time at the end of the day from 2-2:30pm.  We will continue to post pictures of their purchases! 

What We Are Learning!

In Writer's Workshop this week we have worked on Report Writing.  We are writing a Zoo Animals Report, and are focusing on different animals.  We are collecting FACTS about the animals and are taking what we learned from our RESEARCH and are writing our very own reports.  We wanted to show you the progress we are making!  We are so PROUD!
